Trophy Pushing Guide 2026: How to Climb from Gold to Legend League

← All Guides

Step-by-step trophy pushing guide for 2026. Learn how to climb trophy leagues efficiently, the best pushing armies at each stage, and how to reach Legend League from any starting point.

Why Push Trophies?

Trophy pushing accomplishes several things:

  • Higher leagues mean higher loot bonuses per attack
  • Reaching Legend League (5,000 trophies) is a major milestone with unique daily rewards
  • League placement affects who you’re matched against in multiplayer
  • Trophy achievements unlock Gems and profile decorations

This guide covers the entire push — from Silver League to Legend League entry.

Each league tier has 3 sub-tiers (e.g., Gold I/II/III). The loot bonus increases with each tier.

General Trophy Pushing Principles

Pick Off-Peak Times

Bases replenish trophies and shields on a schedule. Attacking during off-peak hours (late night in the target region, or just after a server-side reset) means more fresh bases with full resources and weaker defenders.

Climb in Bursts

Don’t push trophies in 1-2 attacks per day. Do a “session push” — attack 5-8 times in a row, climbing as many trophies as possible before defenses start losing. Your base can’t defend while you’re actively attacking (in real-time), so back-to-back attacks maximize the climb before others chip your trophies back.

Know Your Star Requirement

In trophy pushing, you don’t need 3 stars every attack. If you’re gaining 30 trophies per 3-star win, a 2-star that gains 20 trophies is still profitable. A 1-star that gains 10 trophies is better than a lost attack that costs 15.

Don’t Attack Much Stronger Bases

Pushing trophies against much higher TH levels risks losing a lot of trophies if you can’t 3-star. Target bases within 1 TH level of yours for reliable wins.

Best Trophy Pushing Armies by Level

TH7-9: Mass Dragon

Easiest and most consistent pushing army at lower TH levels. Deploy Dragons across the top of the base, use Rage and Balloons to clean up. Dragons don’t require precision — they fly over walls and cover the entire base.

Army: Dragon × 10, Balloon × 4, Minion × 8
Spells: Rage × 2, Freeze × 1

TH10-11: Queen Walk + LaLoon

A skilled pushing army that 3-stars most TH10 and early TH11 bases reliably.

Army: Lava Hound × 3, Balloon × 12, Minion × 8, Healer × 4 (Queen Walk)
Spells: Rage × 2, Haste × 3

Alternative: Super Witch Spam if the Queen isn’t available.

TH12-13: Yeti Smash or Super Witch

Both are consistent 3-star strategies across a wide range of bases.

Yeti Smash: Yeti × 8, Witch × 3, Bowler × 4, Super Barbarian × 4
Spells: Rage × 2, Heal × 1, Freeze × 2, Earthquake × 1

Super Witch Spam: Super Witch × 6, Witch × 2, filler
Spells: Rage × 3, Freeze × 2

TH14-16: Root Rider + Super Witch

The meta pushing army at high TH levels. Consistent 3-stars against matched TH levels.

Stage-by-Stage Pushing Plan

Gold → Crystal (800 → 1,400)

At this range you’ll find mostly TH8-10 bases. Use a mid-level Dragon army or Giants + Healers. 3-starring should be routine. Push in sessions of 5-6 attacks.

Goal: 30-40 trophies per session, reach Crystal within 1-2 weeks of consistent play.

Crystal → Master (1,400 → 2,000)

TH10-11 opponents become the norm. Switch to Queen Walk + LaLoon or Super Witch. Bases start having Eagle Artillery — respect it with Warden timing.

Goal: 15-25 trophies per session net (win more than you lose).

Master → Champion (2,000 → 3,000)

Toughest climbing bracket. TH11-12 bases with maxed defenses appear regularly. Your 3-star rate starts mattering — bring your best army and don’t attack under-equipped.

Tip: Attack only when you have full heroes available. A Queen Walk without the Queen is half a strategy.

Goal: 10-20 trophies per session. The climb gets slower here — expect 2-4 weeks.

Champion → Titan → Legend (3,000 → 5,000)

Only attempt this push at TH12+, ideally TH13+ with strong heroes. Bases at 3,500+ trophies are intentionally designed to stop 3-stars.

Strategy:

  • Use your most reliable 3-star army — not the most fun one
  • Attack daily, 4-6 attacks per session
  • Avoid rushing — a string of 2-stars still moves you up if defense losses are contained

Timeline: 4-8 weeks of daily pushing from Champion to Legend for a TH13+ player with solid strategy.

Shield Management During Pushes

While pushing: You want to attack without losing your base. Time your attack sessions to start just after your shield expires — attack 5-6 times, then let the resulting defense loss put you on a new shield.

At 5,000 trophies: Don’t stop. Push past 5,000 immediately — Legend League sign-up requires being above the threshold at a specific time. Get to 5,100-5,200 as a buffer.

Common Trophy Pushing Mistakes

Attacking with low heroes. Hero Walks and Queen Walks are the backbone of high-level pushes. Attacking without heroes is leaving 30-40% of your offensive capability offline.

Using weak armies above your comfort bracket. A Dragon army that 3-stars Crystal League bases won’t 3-star Master League bases. Upgrade your army before pushing into a new bracket.

Attacking too slowly. Pushing 1-2 attacks per day at Champion League means defenses chip your trophies back between sessions. Push hard in bursts — then let the shield cover you.

Not knowing when to stop. If you’ve lost 5 attacks in a row, your army isn’t ready for the current bracket. Farm and upgrade before continuing.
